Chocorua is a small unicorporated area in New Hamshire located about 215 northeast of Stevens' hometown of Hartford, Connecticut. It is found within the town of Tamwell in Carroll County. Mount Chocorua is commonly known in the area as the "Matterhorn" of the White Mountains due to its triangular summit.
